Kaze View is an editorial travel website. We publish articles, guides, and recommendations about coastal travel in Japan. We are a media company. We are not a travel agency. We do not book trips, arrange transportation, make hotel reservations, or provide travel planning services. The content on this website reflects the personal experiences and opinions of our contributors. We strive for accuracy, but travel information changes constantly. Roads close. Restaurants change their hours. Hotels go out of business. Ferry schedules change with the seasons. We update our content when we learn of changes (see our fix list), but we cannot guarantee that everything on this site is current at the moment you read it.

You may view, download, and print content from this website for your personal, non-commercial use. Our Japan Coastal Drives Map PDF is a paid product. When you purchase it, you receive a personal license to use the PDF for your own travel planning. You may not share the PDF with others, upload it to file-sharing sites, or include it in any commercial product. If we find our map being distributed without authorization, we'll take appropriate legal action.

This is particularly important for travel content. Road conditions change. Weather happens. Natural disasters occur. A road we described as spectacular might be closed due to a landslide. A harbor we recommended might have changed its hours. A restaurant we loved might have gone downhill. We do our best to keep things current, but we can't be everywhere at once. Always verify critical information (ferry schedules, road closures, opening hours) independently before you travel.

If you drive a road we recommended and get a flat tire, that's not our fault. If you eat at a harbor restaurant we liked and get food poisoning, we're sorry but we're not liable. If you miss a ferry because the schedule changed after we published our article, you need to take that up with the ferry company. If you fall off a cliff because you were taking a photo at a viewpoint we mentioned, that was your decision. Travel involves risk. We describe places and experiences. What you do with that information is your responsibility.
