The Japan Desk is a satellite office maintained by our co-founder Aiko Mori. It is not a separate legal entity. It handles our Japan-based research, contributor coordination, and local fact-checking. We do not offer in-person services at this location.

What We Do

Kaze View Media LLC publishes kaze-view.com, an editorial travel website focused on coastal Japan. Our content includes articles about coastal driving routes, fishing harbors, seaside onsen towns, and port cities. All content is available free of charge.

We sell one digital product: the Japan Coastal Drives Map, a downloadable PDF that covers our five recommended coastal routes with driving times, ferry connections, and personal notes. The map is sold through our website using Stripe as our payment processor. The price is $17 USD.

We do not sell advertising space on our website. We do not accept sponsored content. We do not participate in affiliate marketing programs (with the exception of car rental partner links, which are clearly marked). We do not collect or sell user data.

What We Don't Do

We are not a travel agency. We do not hold a travel agency license in any jurisdiction. We do not book, arrange, or facilitate travel services of any kind, including but not limited to: ferry tickets, hotel or ryokan reservations, rental car bookings, tour packages, travel insurance, or guided tours. Revenue

Our revenue comes from two sources: sales of the Japan Coastal Drives Map PDF, and occasional freelance writing commissions related to coastal travel. We do not disclose specific revenue figures, as we are a private company and are not required to do so.

We are not venture-funded. We are not a startup. We are a small, bootstrapped media company that operates within its means. We have no investors, no board of directors, and no plans to seek external funding.
